all appropriate action to neutralize the menace .”
The Adventure Begins...
Star Trek: The Kobayashi Alternative is an compelling interactive text
adventure, utilizing a window display screen that presents multiple channels of
information simultaneously. As Captain Kirk you call on your seasoned crew and
all the resources of the U.S.S Enterprise to rescue Sulu. You start the game on
the Bridge of the Enterprise you then must plot a course to 15 different planets
and Star Systems.
In your mission Zone you gain information on these planets though trail and
error.
And in one of the Star Systems is a Huge Dyson Sphere with millions of New
Life forms and with the help of a new crew member. Which in fact he is a Horta
you take him alone to gas planet so you must wear your space suit. The controls
in this game are simple and quite easy to use once you use them. You can move
thought out the Ship with your cursor up and down keys. Until you find the
turbolift and type in Deck 7 for Transports and sick bay. Use must goto to your
cabin or Transporter room to change your clothes with a tap on the f1 key you
can change clothes.
F1 is your Inventory list with a tricorder phaser and communicator in there
for you to use on your away mission. When you get to into the Transporter room
you set your coordinates to down on your planets in your mission zone. For fun
go to red alert and make Scott do crazy things its funny. This one tip make sure
you fire your phasers on the right Klingon ship if you don't your mission fails.
You will need the cloaking device from the Aliens to win the game. I could go on
for hours giving you all the tricks and tips for this old text game. So I wont
all I can say is go to this site and download the game and play it for yourself
