S&S take a bash at the interactive movie genre
In the late 90's the interactive movie games (like Syn Factor) was taking the
games industry with a quiet storm. Since S&S were more into the encyclopaedia
style of software they thought that they would release a game, that wasn't a
game but was in fact a massive movie filled with plot choices and reference
material.
Star Trek: Klingon & Star Trek: Borg were basically movies on CD. The idea
was that in the movies you would play a single character and 'star' in in the
movie while making plot choices as the game progressed.

I think you all know what comes next...
Both of the releases bombed in the reviews made by the larger game reviewers.
There was basically no choice's in the games, the plot choices were multiple
choice and it was OBVIOUS what you were supposed to choose.
When you completed the movie that was basically it, and it only took about an
hour for the game to complete, after that you stick it on your shelf and forget
about it...
