Moving onto the games franchise as a whole. Is trek
gaming still a viable franchise and what's your reasons for
your answer :) ?

I think we need a “cool off”
period. I know this may not make some happy, but it’s what I
think. I think Star Trek needs to do what it does best –
live on in our hearts. The vision isn’t gone, it’s not
diminished, it’s just time to take a collective breath,
appreciate the awesome work that’s been done, and move
forward with our lives. If more people would take some of
these ideals with them each and everyday the world would be
a much better place. It’s just as important to stop and
smell the roses as it is to plant the seeds. Why plant them
if you are not going to appreciate the beauty you’ve spent
so much time cultivating? Isn’t that the ultimate reward in
itself? |

What can the other major fan sites do to make sure
that the word of the Starfleet Command series is heard?
|
|
|
|
|
|
Communication. It’s the key –
supporting each other and having an understand and a respect
for each other. Realizing we’re not competing, we’re all in
it for the same reason, because we love it, and because we
love to have fun. This isn’t to say that the intersite
support isn’t there, believe me it is, but we can always
improve on those things. Always. |

Anything new from the DGA or dynaverse.net on the
horizon for the SFC community?

|
Besides what I’ve outlined
already? Nothing much that I could talk about… yet ;) I’m
very excited about Dynaverse.Net’s book that’s coming out.
It’s a collection of all the different strategy, tactics,
tables and other pearls of SFC wisdom all put together in a
logical, easy to understand manner. The SFC community was
actually involved in the project submitting material to be
included. Anyone could submit that’s registered @ D.Net, and
it’s due to be out by the end of June, 2005. Check out our
forums for more details. |

Lastly, the hardtalk series of interviews gives a
chance for the interviewee to basically "advertise" the
selling points of there website and/or organization, its all
yours, sell away :)

Hey, we’re a non profit
organization….and in all honesty, there’s no need to
advertise. What I would like to take this opportunity to say
is how much I appreciate what the STG has done for the SFC
community, and that I was honoured when this interview was
requested. I really think we’re all in such great company –
so Thank You Guys and Gals @ ALL the ST sites, for
everything you’ve done and will do, and thanks to STG for
giving me this chance to talk about something I love, and
finally, respect to that Great Bird of the Galaxy. It’s
because of him this is all possible. |
