My name is Mikester92, the Internal Affairs CO at the UFP. And it is my pleasure to represent one of the largest, most well run fleets to date!

Who are the {UFP}?
The United Federation of Planets, {UFP}, is the oldest and largest pure Star Trek gaming fleet in operation today. The {UFP} has been operating and staunchly supporting Star Trek gaming since May 2002, and we are actively engaged in Star Trek Online as well as numerous other Star Trek PC game titles, offering a range of play styles from fast paced first person shooting, to PvE/PvP, interactive role-play experiences and much more.
In the 8+ years the {UFP} has learned a great deal about fleet management, raising community spirit, and actively involving our members in a myriad of different ways, ensuring they gain the best possible experience through a professionally organised fleet.
While we are welcoming many newcomers to our fleet, we also have a lot of veteran officers who have served the fleet for a number of years. Naturally we've formed close working and friendly bonds, which have helped create a stable, mature and friendly fleet structure. If those aspects appeal to you, the UFP is what you're looking for.

Our Fleet Ethos & Summary
Dependable, accessible leadership and strong fleet involvement...
I believe our long term success has stemmed through sensible and reliable leadership from all those with responsibilities, from the highest ranks, down.
While we believe in the need for a military hierarchy we also believe it is imperative that the fleet is able to have a strong voice. So we actively encourage wide involvement in a myriad of fleet affairs. This is your fleet as much as it is mine. No one "owns" the UFP.
Casual and hardcore gamers welcome...
Casual?
Do you have limited time and many real life commitments? No worries at all, the {UFP} is extremely flexible for the casual gamer. All we ask is that a monthly roll call is signed (literally a minute or less job) so we know you're still about. After that your membership is secure and you're free to take part in whatever many activities we offer at your complete leisure.
Or more Hardcore?
If on the other hand you have spades of time, our flexible base is also capable of keeping you entertained. If your main focus is purely gaming, you'll find the {UFP} is a lively hub of activity, whether on the forums, our TeamSpeak server, or in game.
However we also offer many opportunities to advance within the fleet by helping to run one of the most organized fleets around. Whether that's taking on more command responsibilities to help run events and gaming projects, or fulfilling the many and varied administrative positions that make the {UFP} such a well oiled machine. Such efforts are rewarded via rank advancements and medal commendations, awarded during our tri-monthly UFPAC (UFP Awards Ceremony) hosted live with video and audio commentary (always a fun event).
Wide variety of play types, with a friendly and lively atmosphere...
The {UFP} is able to offer a wide variety of game styles and activites all around various popular Star Trek gaming titles (see above). Our members are also able and encouraged to expand the {UFP}'s gaming horizons with their own {UFP} supported events and projects.
Our community is well known for its high spirit and eager willingness to help out, as all good Star Trek fans are famous for.
