Its been awhile since I last posted the story about military/police robots it would seem that the C.I.A. has been busy with their version of a terminator, this is very scary evil stuff. Quote: Military developing robots that could feed on corpses

EATR robots roam a barren landscape as an unmanned drone flies overhead in an artist's rendering. ~Fox News A Maryland company under contract to the Pentagon is working on a steam-powered robot that would fuel itself by gobbling up whatever organic material it can find — grass, wood, old furniture, even dead bodies. Robotic Technology Inc.’s Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot — that’s right, “EATR” — “can find, ingest, and extract energy from biomass in the environment (and other organically-based energy sources), as well as use conventional and alternative fuels (such as gasoline, heavy fuel, kerosene, diesel, propane, coal, cooking oil, and solar) when suitable,” reads the company’s Web site. That “biomass” and “other organically-based energy sources” wouldn’t necessarily be limited to plant material — animal and human corpses contain plenty of energy, and they’d be plentiful in a war zone. EATR will be powered by the Waste Heat Engine developed by Cyclone Power Technology of Pompano Beach, Fla., which uses an “external combustion chamber” burning up fuel to heat up water in a closed loop, generating electricity. I wonder how the robot determines friend or foe, or will it matter. |

Not exactly a "Mech Warrior" in the accepted sense of the term ie a humanoid shaped powered walker with lots of weapons with a human inside controlling it |

is one of the best shows currently on TV; it is at least as good, if not better, than HBO's other two lauded dramas, and . I usually don't like cop dramas, and I've never watched or (the latter of which was based on a book written bycreator David Simon). But from the first episode of , I was hooked. It features such an amazing group of interesting, well-drawn-out characters, it's virtually impossible not to care about them. And it does well to present the main issue--the drug culture in Baltimore--from the point of view of both the investigating cops and the drug dealers (and in season two drug traffickers were added). [The Wire] has great acting and is extraordinarily well written. Just try watching one episode, and not be dying to know what happens next! Now granted, this is not a show that is easily accessible to the casual viewer. There are so many characters and storylines that you basically need to watch every episode to keep up. So what better medium to watch the show than the wire dvd seasons! It's about time HBO is releasing season one, and I very much look forward to season three later this year. is not the most uplifting show you'll see this year, but it will likely be the best. Edit removed links and irrelevant material not related to Star Trek. |

Ok but what does that have to do with "The Real Mech Warriors", seems a bit unrelated if you know what I mean. |
