| Post subject: | Enterprise fan? Final episode is an ABOMINATION |
You all know this site by now. Unlike STGU which has been basically bought out by Raven Night and Paramount and whose main admin (ChessMess) is trek gaming's "yes man" to Harry Lang (Lang is the head of trek gaming...he thinks fleets will "tow the line" in the MMORPG) STG is the last bastion of TRUTH in trek gaming. I have just seen a screener in Glasgow of the last 2 episodes of Enterprise... Jolene Blalock (T'Pol) had a few things to say about it. I watched it, and this is an abomination. It is a slap in the face from Paramount and berman and braga to every trek series fan on the planet. Want to know the best thing? Viacom/Paramount has a representative posting in a forum whos lead admin has his head where the sun dont shine with regards to paramount. We need to look at the signs that STGU have been unable to see. The slow decline of trek gaming, all the whole STGU are saying that "trek gaming has never been better". Even trek-online has said it. So, he loss of over half the fleets in trek gaming compared to last year, the lawsuit against Paramount, the loss of over 3/4ths of the playerbase ffrom trek gaming still means that "trek gaming has never been better". Thats what happens when people like ChessMess and WildCard are not seen in GameSpy for months on end, they lose touch with reality and lose the perspective that ALL fan sites should have...to uphold the cause of trek gamers everywhere. Instead of posting about the things that matter in trek gaming trek-online and STGU have been copying every single thing we do. ChessMess got a small taste of the contempt that fleets show him and his staff and site in GSA, as for wildcard, he's simply too scared to show his face to the real gamers in GameSpy Arcade and his OWN forum members and staff are now criticising him for his lies and stance on the STG. STGU's campaign of hate against STG which led to Chessmess managing to get get GameSpy to throw us off there hosting. Chuck Condon had received over 150 emails of protest. Harry Lang (who should have resigned after the abonimation known as S&S Dominion Wars) point blank REFUSING to post regularly in other fprums where the members question Star Trek Gaming and the MMORPG. Paramount has basically bought out STGU, not by money, but by the power hungry admin who runs the site. STGU is nothing more than a soap box for Harry Lang now. Perpetual who, after even i told them different, said that FPS fighting fleets like Red Squadrons and RFA can get along with pure Role Play fleets like Bravo Fleet in the MMORPG. I protested, trying to state the case for the fleets who have kept these old games gouing for so long. STGU and ChessMess said otherwise and Paramount refused to listen. It is now obvious that more and more fleets and players are refusing to play this. Yet ChessMess and his entire staff are in the pockets of Lang, they stopped careing about the real gamers years ago. Harry Lang now thinks that a half baked previously CANCELLED game by Activision whos game engine is 2 years old will suffice to keep the gamers in trek to play, even against BattleField 2, Guild Wars and World of Warcraft, in the meantime ALL OF THE STAFF of STGU are blind to the fact that more and more trek gamers are leaving and have not even bothered to tell lang (who should resign) that the trek gamers need something better. Thats because ChessMess and his staff are rarely seen in GameSPy and qute frankly are hated by the majority of people in GameSpy Arcade. As far as i am concerned this site is now in a state of open war with STGU. Trickster who works for STGU had the gall to come to a teamspeak address and tell me to lay off attacking STGU cause he worked for it and just to attack ChessMess. Well, ChessMess and the entire staff of stgu has spread LIES via email with regards to this site, he has sent emails to prominent members of the modding comminity and clan community spreading LIES about STG and my staff...and now one of his staff has the cheek to tell ME what to do? The tricjk backfired, ChessMess has harrased and flamed in the Orion Pirates lobby in GameSpy by prominent members of the fleet and site community. The trick is now starting to backfire. ChessMess was willing to leave, absolutely QUIT trek gaming in 2004, if it wasnt for Watertiger and me with the Harry Lang interview which WE asked ChessMess to take part in, he would have ditched you all...that shows you how much that snake cares for trek gaming. What has this got to do with the final episode of Enterprise? People like ChessMess form the little focus groups for Paramount, already STGU and ChessMess have shafted the fleets and clans of this game, if Paramount isnt even able to keep a series on air, what chance do they have on the MMORPG with someone like Chessmess and the staff of STGU who close down trek sites and who have never ONCE supported trek gaming? You want to complain about the final episode? http://www.stgu.com Paramount has a representative there in a forum which has long since forgotten about trek gaming on the ground level. I have seen places like trekweb and sci-fi net give the previewer 1 star out of ten, and i now agree with them. Do not let trek gaming go down the same road...go to STGU and PROTEST. Want more to read? http://trekweb.com/articles/2005/05/09/427f4e68a8855.shtml and youll find more links to bad reviews about the last episode of enterprise. The time for the STG to take part in an all out assault against STGU is now here. ChessMess almost managed to shut this site down. Now its MY TURN and the turn of the major modders, and fleet leaders whom ChessMess has sent slanderous emails to. This site has, and will alwats support you, the REAL trek gamer, not the part timers who are in awe of Lang (who should resign) and ChessMess. You want to know what this site is about? http://startrek-gamers.com/mission.htm Read the missions statement, you wont find STGU fighting for the GameSpy gamers, infact it was due to them that the STG sponsored wizard events got cancelled. Protest about trek gaming and the general state of the franchise... Go to http://www.stgu.com and let them know what the REAL trek gamers are thinking. (expect trek-online to talk about us on there front page due to wildcard being in ChessMess pocket). |

A copy of the email i sent to chess and lang... Hey chess, i know you and lang have been emailing prominent members of the community. Ya know something? THEY AINT LISTENING TO YOU ANYMORE. Now you WILL reap what you sow...and hey, copy and paste this to the folks you tried to brainwash by sending emails to them telling them not to trust me, the same goes for you lang, as the front page of STG states...STG is now in an open state of war against both of you. STG the oldest and most successful site in trek gaming. With over 10,000 hits to the front page alone per day, every day. Yet BOTH of you are not willing to listen to the trek gamers, both of you are not willing to listen to the modders, both of you are not willing to listen to the gamers in GameSpy Arcade that chessmess has forgotten about and BOTH of you ignored that warning i gave in 2004 with regards to 2005, guess what, i was right, more people are leaving and when Battlefield 2 comes out both of you will really feel the effects. You are both a shamefull disgrace to the trek game franchise. ...ohh, and i have copied this into the STG forum so ChessMess cant alter it and lie about STG anymore. -- Victor Director - The Star Trek Gamers Directory 5 years on the block... http://www.strategyplanet.com/stgd Spike remembers what this place was like when it was threatened...its a return to the old days spike. |

I somewhat liked the last episode I saw. I'm not going to judge the last episode until I watch the entire thing. |

Serok, a TV Guide article on Star Trek said that Blalock was very upset and disappointed about the final episode.... I could find that article and scan it for you tonight after the final episode. And Vic, I feel sorry for those people. I've been gone for a while, but I know Chess never really cared about anybody but his own site's popularity, no matter what game it was about. You're right to not let his slander and attacks go unanswered. |

If you wouldn't mind, I'd be greatly aprreaciative. I want a good quote from her to put in my signature. We wont get the final episode until like July sadly, although I'll be very upset by its end. |

well if this is the way it must be than it is here where we should make a stand and trek gaming will survive, but not because of those high ups but because of independent people who invest their free time in creating a new game like botf II and Destiny's Wind |

I am posting at your request Vic. Nice bait

The tricjk backfired, ChessMess has harrased and flamed in the Orion Pirates lobby in GameSpy by prominent members of the fleet and site community. The trick is now starting to backfire. I was asked into the TeamSpeak server to sort out the problems between our sites. Your personal hatred towards Chess and Harry is obvious. I told you not to attack STGU or my work I don't think that is unfair since I have done nothing wrong to you or attacked STG. You tell people what to think. How do you know what I think about Star Trek Gaming, Harry Lang, ChessMess, STGU, Enterprise, the MMORPG....? Fact is I could agree with you on some of the above but you would still find a way to attack me. Seriously, if your concerns are a community matter then why not post this on the Official Gaming Forum, Trek BBS, Dynaverse.net, TrekPulse Gaming, startrekgames.de, startrekgame.cz.? Shouldn't they be able to help. What caused this latest rant? Did we post too much news or update our stagnate site? Quote: And Vic, I feel sorry for those people. I've been gone for a while, but I know Chess never really cared about anybody but his own site's popularity, no matter what game it was about. Spike, if Chess doesn't care about the community how come the community is posting news on STGU and we are promoting the community's work? When was the last time STGU slandered the STG on the main page... or even in the forum? |

Trickster tell me what Trek gaming site have more than 30 to 40 users online at anytime? The answer is there isn't but I know sites that do and at any given time like more to 75 and it keeps the moderators busy moveing threads around and editing. |

probably, most likely he means that there are not that many people in trek gaming as in other branches because certain measures of high ups that don't care about the ordinary fans hade made them leave |

That said, and going only by what Vic has said, the removal of the STG from GameSpy had to have been somebody's doing who was at war with this site. Since there are two biggies, STG and STGU, some fan of STGU more than likely tipped GameSpy off on the issue (and GameSpy's own damn fault it was, IMHO, that Vic had to outsource his downloads). That is, of course, pure speculation, but the fingers do point to Chess or another big fan of the site. I never thought of you in an instant when the e-mail came, in fact. Like I said, you're the most reasonable person I've seen since Diern-Shaw. And Trick-- it's very easy (and common) to put on the facade of helping the masses, when all you're doing is helping yourself. A small example is when a person donates a bag of dog food to a pet charity and puts in big print on the bag, "DONATED BY DORIS AND JEFF JONES." They're more interested in looking good than the help. |

Sorry Greenvalv, I went to watch Enterprise's finale, like I said in my post about it, not an extension of TNG'S "The Pegasus." The final episode was a slap to the actors who spent four years building this part of the universe. Jolene Blalock was right. It was completely and totally terrible. |

STG members have an opinion like anyone else and I am willing to listen and agreee/disagree. Vic on the other hand is posting his opinion like it is 100% fact. Quote: Unlike STGU which has been basically bought out by Raven Night and Paramount
That one is true I love being a Paramount employ I get my own parking space now, it used to be Kelsey Grammar's!
Quote: The slow decline of trek gaming, all the whole STGU are saying that "trek gaming has never been better".
Vic since you quote us where is the original source? A link would be nice. The peak of trek gaming was 2000 when Armada and EF were released. Who was in charge then - Harry. Quote: Harry Lang (who should have resigned after the abonimation known as S&S Dominion Wars) point blank REFUSING to post regularly in other fprums where the members question Star Trek Gaming and the MMORPG. Paramount has basically bought out STGU, not by money, but by the power hungry admin who runs the site. STGU is nothing more than a soap box for Harry Lang now.
Why didn't you ask him to resign then? Harry is also responsible for the games you have installed now Vic, how come you are playing them? Quote: Well, ChessMess and the entire staff of stgu has spread LIES via email with regards to this site
Show all the emails then and let everyone see the evidence. =========== Rather then letting Vic tell you what all the STGU staff members think about Trek Gaming or the MMORPG I will tell you what my opinion is. Personally I am not interested in Online at the moment and I am sceptical if it will appeal to me. I am also reluctant to pay a monthly fee for a game that might only last a few years. But I am looking forward to the next game more, whatever that may be. Vic I do take your comments seriously and as for abandoning the GameSpy gamers we will be addressing that. |

STG members have an opinion like anyone else and I am willing to listen and agreee/disagree. Vic on the other hand is posting his opinion like it is 100% fact. This first bit is long, but trust me, I have a point. Recently I was getting into arguements with my party chief at work. He unilaterally decided that we were going to work 10-12 hour days, without consulting me or the rodman on the crew. Neither of us (myself or the rodman) liked the entire situation. I was the more vocal about it, as I have now a very active after work life (marriage counseling, dinners with the iin-laws and parents and such, as a lot of birthdays happen in late April and early May). He and I got into terrible arguements, and this was very disconcerting to me, as we had been such good friends before. We talked it out one day, and I came to realize what his problem with me was, as he had never told me what it was before. He thought I was slacking off, though he had told me to train the rodman for my position, as he was getting promoted. What we were doing was hardly work for three people, so I did stand around a lot, as the rodman already knew what he was doing. My party chief is a Mexican, and as such he has different values on work. Their idea is that work is primary, and you schedule your life around work. No set in stone plans on work days, work weekends if necessary, etc. Being the spoiled little brat I am, I have the opposite view: work around life, though I schedule life around work from 7 am to 4:30 pm weekdays. This culture difference is what caused our animosity for a time, and we discovered it and worked it out. Vic is a Scotsman. Slightly more aggressive and more vocal about his thoughts than we Americans are used to. He'll tell you what he thinks and doesn't care if you like it or not. And, as a good salesman or captain, he'll say it as fact in order to make sure people don't question him. I for one never have a reason to question him. I never knew of any errors he made in the past. But we (all of us, STG and STGU alike) have to keep in mind we are both of different cultures, and what passes for common behavior in his society is complete rudeness and an act of war in ours. It's the STAR TREK philosophy, man! And it's totally our scene! |
