Recommendation...DON'T DO VISTA.....IT CAUSES MORE PROBLEMS THAN IT CLAIMED TO FIX FROM XP! I will be back...as soon as i can |

I hear you I got a new computer for Christmas and I had to take it back Vista is incompatible with most of my software including anti-virus and firewall programs which I am in no mood to replace with a vista compatible version, the fact that this O/S is NOT backward compatible with software will in my opinion will lead to its downfall among other issues including games that will not work on the new O/S...The salesperson at staples was understanding and warned me NOT to reformat the new computer to XP as the computer was not designed for that O/S and it might cause damage to the computer.

yeah and Dark a backup won't work backups can only be restored on a identical system i.e.: the same hardware without any changes (so even changing something like a graphics card) is enough to warrant making a new backup just to be sure not to mention that this identical system has to have the same OS as the one you made the backup for so you'll manually have to copy all files and such to an other medium and load them on manually afterwards |
