Ok. I've happened to come to a XBOX Debug unit. When I say that, you have my assurances I did nothing illegal to get it. If I did, I'd be more than happy to return it to Microsoft. They can reach me at S31Ender@gmail.com

Moving on. I've got this unit. Does anyone know what it does? What can I do with it. Why is it so special?

That's my question. Anyone know?

I wrote here in this section because I don't see a "off-topic" section.

It's the aliens. Quiet frankly sometimes they get bored waiting for us to catch up to their level of development and they mess with us....just a little.

If I'm not mistaken, debug units (for PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, etc.) can play games that are in development and are not "burned" on the final disc. I thought I read somewhere once that debug units are used at the conventions to show off the new games too.

I'm not sure just what all you can do with it though. Did it come with any software or other hardware?

It's used for testing games in development.  It's not available to anyone outside of an official developer or publisher.

On the Xbox debug, you can ONLY play games in development.  It  will not play retail games.  So unless you're actually working in the industry testing a game in development, an Xbox debug unit is essentially useless.

Oh boy. Ender, I hope it didn't cost you anything or at least had lots of development games you can play on it.

Nope. It didn't cost me anything. And the systems (I have a gamecube one as well) are not technically mine. I have them in my apt. But the guy who they "belong" to hasn't used them ever.
If I ever move away or vise versa, I'll make sure they get returned to him, and if his employer ever asks for them back..........I talk to him at least once or twice a week and he knows my number and all that so I can just give them back.
I know that they aren't really supposed to be given away and stuff, so trust me, you WILL NOT find these on ebay. That ain't right. lol. However, I was hoping I could find a use for them. I guess I'll just give 'em back to him in the next coupla days. I don't see what good they do.
