Star Trek Away Team problems with installing XP/Windows 7

HI, New member and new to gaming but a 30yr vet of trek. Just bought an old PC game "Star Trek Away Team" but it wont load to my laptop or my wifes she has OS XP and I have windows 7. So i was wondering if anyone knew a way round this as i have checked the website for game maker but there is no version that runs 64-bit and have looked for a patch but to no avail (so far)

This may work for you or not but go into the game disk and click on set up.Did you try compatibility mod or run as admin?
