Section 31. You are now entering the most secretive division of the Federation yet. It is our whole hearted duty to keep the Federation safe from threats that are too evil for standard Starfleet officers to handle. After 2400 Starfleet Command handed over two ships and one dockyard to this division. Their excuse for the missing ships was... undesired. We had the Admiral replaced for that little "incident."

We do these jobs because the Federation does not want to get its hands dirty, so they created Section 31 as a deterrent for threats to the Federation that would likely cause a diplomatic incident if they were dealt with... improperly.

Starfleet Will Deny All Allegations That We Exsist.

All officers sign the Federation Secrets Act circa 2231 to prevent any... accidents from happening to your person.

Should you fail your mission or should you choose to accept it, Section 31 will disavow all knowladge of your actions, and your life.
