Good to see most of the people that reside on these boards are around, figured I'd stop by and see what you guys thought of the new movie and STO and got to read some interesting threads about both, but above all I'm glad to see some old "faces" again.

I must admit I am a bit dissapointed by STO as a trek game, much as many have said on other threads about the new trek movie (good as a movie on its own but not as a trek movie) I find the same to be true with STO, it's not a bad MMO on its own, but as a trek game it doesn't quite do it for me. But oh well, I'm sure a lot of you are sick of hearing all the rants and raves about the game as it is. And, let's face it, even though we all would like for awesome trek games to come out now, Star Trek is not the only franchise that cannot seem to translate tv and film to videogames. As we all know, very few video games based on a tv show or film are actually known to be great games, although there are quite a few out there.

Anyway, it's good to see this site is still live and kicking, as I'm sure it will remain for a long time to come. big grin

I personally have never played any star trek games. I would LOVE to play some. I've always seen the videos of others playing them.

I just LOVED the movie. I dont care what other said about it./

I know huh!! I've been wanting to play one of the games for about 2 years now but havnt been able to.

Star Trek DAC is not a bad game for the price if you have a console, you could give that a try, there's a free downloadable demo (at least on psn) I play that once in a while, fun little shoot em up for the money

So what is DAC for? and is that the real name?

Also, god...SFC 3 and BC were the only two i regret never picking up...

DAC is playable on PC and it is nothing more than a glorified version of Asteriods from the Atari way back.
