It looks like Paramount Pictures has decided at least on a tentative release date for J. J. Abrams' anticipated Untitled Star Trek Sequel as it stakes claim to the coveted pre-4th of July weekend of June 29, 2012. At this time, it is the only movie scheduled for June that summer, and absolutely nothing is known of the sequel except that one expects most of the cast introduced in the first movie to return.

You're lack of faith disturbs me but it's totally understandable. I tried watching it again on DVD but seriously I cringed through the whole movie. I just hope Karl Urban reprises his role as McCoy because honestly he was the only thing worth watching in the first film.

I liked the most recient Star Trek film (more than just McCoy) and the whole Star Trek franchise but seriously Star Trek has ran its course. People will still be buying the movies and the series in the future. I believe it's time to move onto something else.

I think Tim Allen liked it but really any real star trek fan would have to really be just hoping it would be any good, I viewed it again on a recent flight gotta say it was a real Star Quest kinda movie not Star Trek, as for J.J. my opinion is simple if it ain't broke don't fix it!
