for whatever reasons i do....simply put

Historically 2/10
As a movie to restart a franchise 9/10

good movie....jsut not accurate...and NO i dont believe there is justification in an alternate universe like everyone says

As a lot of people have said - good film in itself, just not when you put it into ST context.
It may be an alternate timeline and all, but still what happened to Vulcan is a big no no.

It's a bit like the new Bond films, excellent in their own right, they just lack that Bond feel/quality

Gray i hate to say this ...but i agree with ya

Im also a Big Bond Fan and i hate that theres no Miss MoneyPennya and Q? and they used the Ol M from Brosnans fils WTH!!

Daniel Craig does deliver action but at the cost of the composure that the other bonds have.

Craigis so erratic and spontaneous and careless....idk

I dont beleive theres justification either....however in hollywood $$$$ talks, and the new trek film made them a fortune...
