STG's worst clan site contest

Now i know what you are thinking...has Vic gone mad?  A contest to find the WORST clan site in existance for Star Trek Clans?

Well, we've been thinking of doing this for about a year now and with the site back up and over half of the new content already in we think it's about time we tried this out.

Most fleets know of some other fleet sites which are...well...an eye sore.  The content might be there but its all in one page which takes 5 minutes to load and is chock full of massive images.  Some clans just might not have a semi experienced web designer on there roster, or alternatively they might have not payed much attention to the clan instead they go out and play.

So, what happens to the clan who wins the "worst clan site" competition?

STG builds them a new site, from the ground up using the instantly recognisable mascosts from the site and basic design elements commonly found in most trek clan sites, we give them there own news page on the STG for there front page, we take any existing forum they have and if its a basic skin, we will reskin it for them so it more "trek gamey" and once thats all done we host there site for them, right here, on STG.

So enter with a really horrid clan site, and the winner leaves with a clan site which will stand up to some of the best ones out there.

Not bad eh?

the GQ site is prob one of the worst, however im working on a new one atm that should be ready soon, hopefully it will steer us clear of the bottom lol.

Of the 2 sites i've seen so far [1F] would win.  The Waffle site itself has the layout, it just needs content.  I've seen a couple of clan sites on freewebs with that template and they look good, ya need to chuck all sorts of info in it to make the thing fill out though.

Anyway...keep an eye out for the opening of the content and the submission page, i THINK we might cast a vote on the top 5 worst clan sites and let the visitors of the site and the board members decide which one needs and Vic and Katie make over
