According to: http://www.ditl.org/ Top LCARS, "Fed Ships" then use the navigation menu on the left to select the class you wish to research.

It would appear that the Sovereign Class -

126 x Type XII phaser arrays, total output 85,000 TeraWatts
1 x Rapid fire quantum torpedo tube
4 x Type 4 burst fire photon torpedo tube with 300 rounds

Compared to the Galaxy Class -

1217 x Type X phaser arrays, total output 50,000 TeraWatts
214 x Type 3 burst fire photon torpedo tube with 250 rounds

That is on powerfull ship and Darknight I am talking canon hear not the games.

It would seem even the V'orcha is quite powerfull

3 x Mark 12 pulse disrupter cannon12
12 x Mark 10 disrupter cannon12, total output 60,000 TeraWatts
4 x Triple Fire photon torpedo tube12 with 580 rounds.

Romulan Warbird

68 x Class 21 disrupter cannon3, total output 65,000 TeraWatts
12 x S2 photon torpedo tube8 with 800 rounds.

I thought they used plasma torps not photons.

I was initially gonna guess the Excelsior Class, but after double checking with DITL, foud it was actually weaker than the Galaxy Class. Did some scouting and found what I posted above. It's a fun resource to cruise around sometimes when I can't sleep.

Best reference resource I've found for most data regarding ST. I had a bunch of other reference links, but it's on a hard drive that I cannot access right now. It'll have to wait until I can afford to build my next desktop.

Most places I've seen place the Galaxies Ventral and Saucer strips as the most powerful ship mounted arrays (including against the Sovs).
But in general has to be the Sov, has far more (advanced and in number) weaponry and defensive systems, although the Venture refit of the Galaxy class could negate that somewhat.

lmao funny this should b3 asked i was reading on this two weeks ago, and hands down is trhe Sovereign class starship.
especialy after the borg (first contact), the ship was refitted with extra Quantum torp bays and photon bays and dorsal phaser banks and we saw the results in ST X
even tho the Enterprise was outgunned by the Scimitar, she still was keeping her own and held her ground.
but hands down to the Sovereign class theres no question about that.

also the Sovereign claass has a faster recharge rate on the Phaser banks as well as faster firing rate and larger fireing number on her quantum torps, over the Galaxy's.

The Sovereign sheilds are unmtched by utilising ablative armor sheilding as well as the lastest tech from Starfleet
also shes has typeXII phasers that are used on starbases.......yikes!!!!, the Galaxy has only type x xd

we saw how the Scimitar cut through the new rom warbirds like swiss chees...lol but our beloved Sovereign class Enterprise bestowed with the latest tech from Starfleet did not too shabby ev3n though she took a beating.

Then of course there is the alternate time line Galaxy X with its mahussive phase cannon......
Think that would trump any other weapon system...
