I would get use to Vista as most new games coming out in the nest few years will want direct x10.There are ways to make older games run on it just contact Microsoft as Pestalence contacted them to see how best ot get OP working on it.

The original reason why M$ is popular is because
it was cheap. Now the table has been turned 180
against the hardware makers. It wouldn't take
long for another revolution to pop up...

What do you mean you mean the whole dual core and quad core cpu that are coming out now as well as pci express video cards.Yeah it is hard to play catch up.

Not sure if people remember when M$ was a tiny
company begging for business at the door of HAL
with a product that they brought -- long ago.

Now the hardware makers are at the mercy of M$
because their products must pass the os specific
test -- with drivers written by M$?!? That's crazy.

I am expecting a new breed of hardware/software
hybrid to pop up and snatch the market away by
surprise, even blowing away the search engines
or the cellphones.

Things of nano and bio techs have been working
in the background for so long, something should
be ready for application in the main stream. If
we know what it is, we would be rich.

Yeah. I remember there were lots of other programs out there before windows 95 came along.What ever happened to Lotus 123 and Wordperfact.

Yeah, the company may still be around, not sure
if it has the same talented people with incentives
or visions to compete with a 1600 lb gorilla.

Most small companies are happy to go public and
sell to the biggest bidder, or else suffer crushing
competition.

Or they have to go the long route of open source.

Talking about Gorillias thats what Microsofts Vista reminds me of a 1600lb Gorillia everyone wants to watch him but no one can make him work lol Sorry if I may have offended any Gorillias out there.
