Forum Prefernces are Buggy?

why cant i change my avatar?
also when i try to change my options in "Preferences" it wont let me? keeps saying something about to many images in my Signature for all problems i encounter.please help, Thanks

You have to delete your current avatar first and what do you want to changein your preferences.

i tried Age, it wont let me???
i wanted to unhide my online status, and allow pop ups to remind me of messages or Profiles, but it will not let me change them, i have tried everything, is this a Firefox Flaw?

funniest thing did happen though, Before i attempted to change things, i could not see any details of me or anyone else under the avatars.....now that i tried to change things but still never changed anything in my Prefernces, somehow its triggered something that now allows me to see my details again???? funniest thing i have ever seen.........

hmmmm....now i was able to change things in Preferences but even though my Online status says i am not Hidden.....i still remain hidden.lol

heres a message i always keep getting too


"You have added too many images in your signature. You can only add 1 images in your signature."

maybe i have too many images from the prefious PHPBB version that allowed them, and this newer one doesnt?

i recant what i said, i just checked my Preferences again, and everything is back to what it was......it seems that the board lets you think you have made changes after submitting them, but after leaving preferences and then going back in....everything is back to what it was the first time.argghhh

your sig is to big - that's what the problem is.
When ever it was Vic fiddled with the boards last, it changed the max sized allowed to i think its 400pxl wide - yours is 600pxl wide, so as long as you dont change your sig, you get to keep it (my old one was the same). If you get rid of your sig, or swap it for a smaller one it will all work again - when you submit your changes to your profile, it includes the sig, which breeches the rules, and so won't allow the change.
