Hello all,

Firstly, I want to thank you for any help I may recieve, I've been searching for quite a while for a solution, but can't quite seem to get there.

I got Star Trek Armada when I was about 10/11, so about 8/9 years ago, and quite frankly I think the game is amazing. I love RTS's, and I'm a Trek fan, so both of them put together is absolutely great.

I recently installed the game again on my new computer, it runs WinXP and I know Armada seems to have a few problems, but it used to work on my previous computer which was also WinXP which is confusing :/

Basically, as soon as I go to load a level, this image comes up:

When I get into the game, it USED to flicker, along with the graphics problem in the next picture, but after updating DirectX it doesn't flicker anymore. However, I still have the texture problem.

Now it is playable still, it's not that bad until I get onto a map with any borg unimatrices (The little silver borg things in the background of the map). When they appear, it looks like this:

I've ran it in safemode, and it works fine, but it really ruins the game graphics, especially when the Nebula's look like the firework screen savers from 1990 computers.

I have tried many different resolutiions but still no luck

Anyway, thanks for the help, and sorry it's a long post.
I've had a few problems which I managed to sort out, so I'm happy to help anyone else who has a problem.

Can anyone help me out and let me know what ports I have to open for Star Trek Armada 1 ? I think I saw something online about port 3215..for outgoing..list the ports or a site..whichever you may have...thanks..

Hey there. I need help!!! I just installed Klingon Academy(with patches) and the game crashes every time I play it. I do have updated video driver(ATI 1600). Some times the game will let me play for a few minutes then crash and time it was automatically just crash when starting to play. If anyone has an suggestion it would be highly appreciated!! Thanks!!!

I haven't got a reply from The Alpha. I know this is sort of a dead forum at this point but it would sure be nice if I could solve my choke problem.
